Spotlight Scholars Present at Boston APHA 2022

Spotlight Scholars Dr. Kalyani Gudiwada and Dr. Rebecca Ogunyemi presented their work on “Non-Severe Postpartum Maternal Morbidities: Where is the Epidemiological Data” at the American Public Health Association Annual Conference in Boston. This investigation sought to describe the variation in maternal health initiatives and interventions aimed at improving postpartum maternal health outcomes globally. The authors highlighted how describing this variation as it relates to morbidities could further contextualize the current landscape of maternal health research in the United States and assist in identifying new opportunities to advance maternal health research domestically.

Authors Dr. Gudiwada, Dr. Ogunyemi, Dr. Jessica Holzer, and data scientist Alayna Ruberg attended the conference in Boston.
